The new scientific, technological and progressively clinical domain of in silico medicine was introduced to the wider medical community of Greece by Prof. Stamatakos during the 6th Forum “Biosciences, Innovation, Technology and Cancer: From Prevention to Treatment”. The Forum took place in Athens from 15th to 17th October 2021 as a hybrid event.
Prof. Georgios Stamatakos, as an invited speaker and session chair, introduced in silico medicine to the broader medical community of Greece and presented the main aspects of the running EU project BOUNCE: the development of in silico models to predict resilience of women after breast cancer treatment, with special emphasis on its modelling aspects. More than 1000 participants were connected to the event via electronic means.
